Foundation For Excellence, a non-profit, was established in 1994 in USA. Foundation For Excellence India Trust (FFEIT), the Indian entity was registered in 2003 in Bengaluru.  FFE is committed to its mission of helping academically bright and economically underprivileged students in India accomplish their goals of pursuing higher education through scholarships.  FFE has awarded more than 71,000 scholarships to over 24,000 scholars amounting to INR 228 crores in the past 27 years.

Foundation For Excellence, a 27- year old registered NGO that awards merit-cum-means scholarships to gifted students from financially deprived backgrounds pursuing Engineering, Medical, Law, and BPharm degrees in India. The mission is to transform the lives of talented students from economically constrained backgrounds through scholarships. FFE has awarded more than 71,000 merits cum means scholarships to over 24,000 scholars amounting to INR 228 crores in the past 27 years. FFE ended FY 2020-21, awarding scholarships to 7498 deserving students who were awarded scholarships totaling INR 29.38 Crores.

FFE has been able to scale up its program beyond scholarships. The financial support for students through scholarships is combined with skills training for Engineering students (supported by a grant from the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation and Capgemini), along with opportunities for employee engagement, particularly mentoring, projects, internships, workshops, and similar, that makes this a well-rounded program for students, and is the largest program of its kind with a pan India presence (27 States). 

For its exemplary work, FFE was awarded with Credibility Alliance Certification (Valid for 5 years until 2021) and for the fourth consecutive year, GuideStar India Gold Award (August 2020) for its strong and good governance, transparency and accountability practices. FFE was awarded the CSR Project of the Year Award in 2018.
